About me:
Dominique Fong is a journalist traveling the world for half a year. She was a correspondent in Hong Kong and Beijing for The Wall Street Journal for more than four years. She grew up in a quiet suburb of the Silicon Valley and, despite living abroad, couldn’t seem to let go of her California girl accent.
About the blog:
Tiny Urban Hikes is a collection of essays and reported travelogues. Every little adventure is but a brief drop into something or someone else’s world, be it treks through a vertiginous forest or a meander down alleys in a skyscraper jungle. I like to think of them as strolls of exploration. This blog is about the impressions of this human trace — left by me, or the people I meet — on each tiny hike in different parts of the world.
